Hi everyone,
I've been taking Tamoxifen for almost a year now (it's been working) and am now experiencing hot flushes, I think I've just started clomid and I'm having a bit of trouble getting my periods to go back to normal.
But I've been taking it for about a year now and after trying Clomid for about 4 months I've noticed that it does help my hot flushes but I'm still not getting back to normal periods as I'm on the 1mg a day dose for a month. I've even been taking the 2mg for 3 days but when I go back on it I'm getting a "cold start" (which isnt normal at all) and I've felt it was all out of control, I'm sure my periods will be back to normal within a week or two but I'm just really having a hard time getting my periods back to normal.
I'm also taking Tamoxifen so can't help it right now as it's been around a year.
I'm wondering what happened to the Clomid?
I've read somewhere that Clomid is linked to some side effects, but I've never heard of the clomid being linked to them, and the only thing I've heard of is the drug being linked to the clomid.
My GP said the clomid should be used for 5 weeks as it was being used for 5 days on average for a month. This is only half the duration as there are several weeks between the doses but the side effects have not been bad.
I have a couple of questions.
How long does the clomid take to take effect?
Does it take as long as Clomid for it to take effect?
Any advice?
I'd really appreciate any help.
Also, are there any possible side effects you are experiencing with clomid?
I'm trying to start to cycle more regularly and I've been feeling pretty tired all the time now that I'm on the 1mg and the hot flashes have mostly returned. The days I've taken them have gone away but it seems like the days have come and gone and I'm just a bit more tired and I'm hoping it doesn't mean anything to me. I'm not sure if it's something to do with the hot flashes or something.
I don't have a doctor's prescription for it, but if I were you I'd suggest asking for a script.
Good luck,
Bert

Clomid (Clomiphene Citrate) is a medication used to treat ovulatory disorders in women. It works by blocking estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, which triggers the release of luteinizing hormones. This leads to an increase in the secretion of follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, both crucial for ovulation. It can also help to improve the chances of conception in some cases where there is a lack of eggs developing during the cycle.- Who Should Take Clomid (Clomiphene Citrate)? Clomid is typically used first thing in the morning, during the menstrual cycle, or as a daily pill. It should be taken around one and a half hours before it begins to act, to ensure optimal absorption and effectiveness. Clomid 50mg tablets are usually taken orally, with or without food.
Clomid (Clomiphene Citrate) tricks the body into thinking that the ovaries are not developing eggs, causing the egg to release multiple eggs during the cycle. This results in multiple follicles to produce anovulatory cycles, where the eggs are released after the ovaries stop producing one egg.

Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) Tablets (50 mg) Online Canada PharmacyNolvadex and tamoxifen (TC) are the two most commonly prescribed agents in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer. Both drugs have demonstrated excellent efficacy in reducing the risk of invasivelocometastatic events. Although one drug is the cornerstone of adjuvant treatment, the adjuvant treatment is costly and is not indicated for most patients. The development of novel drug candidates is therefore vital. We evaluated the development of novel, adjuvant, oral adjuvant, and adjuvant treatment modalities in a comparison of patients with metastatic breast cancer treated with T and a combination of both drugs. We conducted a retrospective analysis of the data obtained from the Australian Breast Cancer Study Group (ABCSG) of a total of 13,819 patients treated with T and 2,721 patients with combination therapy. Patients had received adjuvant T and combination therapies in the same trial between 1996 and 2003 (N=13,819). Patients were stratified by treatment and compared using the chi-square test. A total of 13,819 patients with T and 2,721 patients with combination therapy received a total of 6,631 mg of T and 5,035 mg of combination therapy. In our study, the combined T and combination therapy was significantly more effective than the T alone (p<0.01). The overall response rate was higher in the combination group than in the T group (80% vs. 41%, p<0.01). There was a higher incidence of post-operative complications (38% vs. 22%, p<0.01). Overall, the combination therapy demonstrated statistically significant improvements in the overall survival compared with the combination therapy (p<0.01). Patients with metastatic breast cancer with low-risk disease were more likely to benefit from adjuvant T and combination therapies. Although we lack data on drug-specific effects, adjuvant T and combination therapy demonstrated positive outcomes in patients with metastatic breast cancer, which may influence treatment decision-making and patient decision-making.
The most common adverse effects of adjuvant and combined therapies are breast cancer recurrence and the risk of invasivelocometastatic recurrence, particularly in women over the age of 40 years [–]. The most commonly reported adverse effects of adjuvant and combined therapies are breast cancer recurrence and the risk of invasivelocometastatic recurrence in women over the age of 40 years, particularly in younger women. The risk of postoperative complications and the need for surgery in women with metastatic breast cancer have not been reported.
